Uppers is a coffee bar in the heart of Stansted Mountfitchet. Our main ethos is about simplicity. Serving a decent cup of coffee in a warm cozy atmosphere.

The idea for Uppers was born whilst on vacation in Puglia taking inspiration from thriving hospitality hot spots in the Southern region of Italy. A lot of interior design inspiration was taken from this part of the world with one main intention “embracing imperfections” - from white washed textured walls to the classic Apulian splatter plates.

Having travelled to cities across the world; New York, Berlin, Amsterdam and of course beloved London, we’ve had the opportunity to taste seriously good brews from speciality coffee shops and we wanted to bring this special vibe to Essex. That’s why we looked no further than using a roaster from East London, Ozone Coffee, so that the locals could get a taste of London but in Essex.

Uppers is more than just a coffee shop. We wanted to create a space where people could come together from the local area to savor life's small pleasures and bring a new community hub.
